I had a multicolored wedding. I think it made it so much easier b/c I love all colors. I had one main color (pink), and then just added whatever else I wanted. I think it looked fine, as long as there's something that ties it all together. Since you said you'll have silver accents, I think that will do the job.
The rule for bridesmaids was that their dresses had to have some pink and flowers. They ended up being very colorful!
Centerpieces were mismatched, I got the vases from thrift stores.
I got my napkins on ebay
thats very nice! very pretty... I think mine will be a little more on the modern-side, solids and leafy patterns (for spring) Thank you for your input!
I think yellow and a purple would look great with your BMs dresses, and everything in the reception hall so far is sort of neutral so it would work nicely.
What else do you think you need to plan for or buy?
all the colors you already have chosen will go with whatever you want.
My colors are chacoal gray, pewter (charger plates and other metal accents), ivory, green, with accents of yellow and orange in the flowers.
Just look up a bunch of difference wedding inspiration boards and see what strikes your fancy.
This blog is also awesome for color inspiration:
@thewheelsonthebus: well I want my STD and invites to match somewhat with the color sceam, Im also having a candy bar, DIY table numbers and name cards (which I would like to match as well) All my flowers still need to be picked out bouquets and centerpeices... Its odd how I feel about all of this I'm usually a very matchy matchy person so its hard for me not to pick a color or 2 to do everything in, but I just love the look of multicolored flowers.
That is a great board! I really love Green, I was going to do everything In green but I just couldnt find everything In the Green I liked. Im happy with the grays tho- and I really like the yellow and gray, very summer-ey.
Thank yoU!
The good thing about that blog is you can isolate out all the posts that have the color you want to see in different palettes by selecting the color you want to see. There are so many to choose from. It really helped me.
Before I finished reading your post, I immediately thought of yellow and purple...and then you picked yellow and purple. I think it would look gorgeous. If you type "gray, yellow, purple wedding" into google and then look through the images, there are ALL sorts of neat boards already put together. I say YES!

@milesbella: Thank you so much, I guess I just needed some reinforcement that It looked nice and I wasnt nuts! lol ;)

Ok, I am having so much trouble trying to pic colors. I have changed it a million times.
There are a few things I do know for sure, My dress and my bridesmaids dresses. My dress is Dimond white, and the BM dresses are charcoal gray. I have all silver accents at the hall (chairs and charger plates) So far so good. NOW flowers, invites, napkins, candy, favors, and so much more. I need to start buying and planning for. My wedding is next June, Ceremony in a church and reception in a modern style hotel.
Here is my dress,
Here are my BM dresses,
So, I really like yellow, and purple and I also really like just mixed color bouquets, but if I do that what colors do I use for everything else? Should I have a few main colors or can I just go for multicolored? Will everything look not put together??
Any idea's, suggestions or pictures would be great!
