Hello everyone, I have been a WeddingBee stalker for several months now and have always been able to find advice just by searching around. But there is one “issue” that I can’t seem to be able to decide on…
Here is my dress…pretty simple.
I’m adding a plum sash with embellishment… (I know this is a table runner just wanted to show the color…)
Our wedding colors are plum and apricot, but definitely more plum. I LOVE the idea of dyeing crinoline but I am debating on which color… I LOVE this picture…
But she doesn’t have a sash on. I would love to incorporate more apricot but I’m a little scared that it would be too much.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Also, I was originally going to go with plum shoes before I fell in love with the dyed crinoline. If I dye my crinoline then won’t go with the plum, but what color shoes should I have then?

I voted apricot. I think since plum is the main color it’s the pop you’ll be looking for instead of just plending in. I think that you can have fun with your shoes and do plum for them. That is MO. I love your scheme!

And this DIY link explains how to make a colored crinoline with out dye. That way if you hate it, you can change it.

You won’t actually see your crinoline very much so I voted for apricot as it can be a splash of color for some cool picutres, but isn’t too much because it won’t be seen much.

I think apricot will give the pop you’re looking for 🙂 and the plus sash would be great too! That inspiration picture is PERFECT! and I do think you can still do plum shoes 🙂 both your shoes and crinoline won’t really be seen except in fun pictures… And I think you’ll be thrilled with the plum and apricot paired together 🙂

Well I decided to go with apricot, even though it was a tie. Just those few votes convinced me and that’s what I really wanted.
I died it last night and this morning it looks more golden/tan. We are going to buy Tangerine dye and hopefully since it is already tan, it won’t look really bright orange. I will post pictures when I complete it and my fitting is next Saturday. I’m most excited to see it then!
