In my opinion, yes. I adore colored shoes and dyed crinolines, but I think both would be a bit much.

Cute shoes, btw!

Nah. At least, I don’t think so. I think purple rocks.

Since they’re going to be relatively close together on your body, I’d say yes, it’s overkill. Cute shoes, though!

Love the idea of dyed crinoline, also love the colored shoes….not sure about them together.  I guess it depends on how much of the crinoline will show.

Maybe if your crinoline is a different shade of purple.  A lavender or light purple, so the shoes still pop.  There is no way to tell but to try it.

I vote NO!

But I am biased because I did it with hot pink!

I will post pics and you can decide!

I would say it depends on the style and length of the dress you’re wearing, and whether or not you’re going to try and match the crinoline perfectly to the shoes.

Personal opinion: If the crinoline is going to be long and close to your shoes, I’d try to get them to match as closely as possible if you dye it. If you’re going for a shorter dress style, I don’t think it will matter as much, as long as it isn’t clashy colorwise.

I’m going with shoes almost as dark purple as yours, and a lavender crinoline with a short-ish dress. So far, I haven’t had anyone tell me it’s a bad idea. So either it’s alright, or everyone is being way too nice to me, lol.

And by the way, those are freaking awesome shoes!!!Laughing
