I do not have a colored stone. I have an emeral cut, three stone ring. But I love e-rings with colored stones and would love to ooh and ahhh over yours! Please post pictures and share what makes that stone so special to you!
Come on! Share that colored engagement ring porn!!!
I have a black diamond. I love these stones and I'm a bit on the gothic side so to have black stones is just kinda me.

@Loreleis_Song: That is really pretty, and very unique. I used to work at a jewelry store, and I know we couldn't get black diamonds, so that is really cool!
@sceeder: Very pretty! Is it an amethyst?
@sceeder: Ooops! You answered my question before I got it posted!!! Very nice. I think amemthyst is so pretty.
I'm thinking of getting a colored stone but I don't know what kind of wedding ring would go with it?
Always happy to share pics of mine! :) It's an oval cut aquamarine in a platinum setting. Everyone always asks if aquamarines are my birthstone, but my birthstone is actually a diamond! Aqua is the birthstone for March, which is the month that FH and I met and when we'll be getting married (in three weeks!). And I just LOVE the color. So, that's the story!
@bRooklynRocks: I thought about that too but it was super easy to find a band! We chose an e-ring that was an existing design, just swapped out the center diamond. So, shopping for a band was no different than it would have been otherwise! Go for it!
I almost didn't post here bc my ring is all over the place on here. I hope no one thinks it's obnoxious of me to post her so much. I love her and I ADORE my FI.
"Please post pictures and share what makes that stone so special to you!"
It's BLUE!! And FI was so sweet to surprise me with it!!

@bRooklynRocks: The colored stone I have is set in white gold. So I would get a white gold band to go along with it. My e-ring is dainty, so I may go with some very dainty stackable rings as bands, instead of just 1 thicker band.
I've posted mine on here a few times before as well, but here is another shot!! I can't wait till the wedding so I can get some prettier shots of it! It's a ruby (my birthstone) and just white gold. Sorry it's such a big pic!
Loving all these colored stones!!! And the reasons they're special is making me smile.
I don't care if you've posted them before, keep posting them! I think it's about time that brides with colored stones had a special thread for showing them off!!!
I love my black diamond because it is different and is so shiny and sparkly!
Mine is vintage circa 1930s sapphire with diamonds in a filagree design! I LOVE it, and it didn't cost us an arm & a leg :)
amethyst & diamonds with white gold. Even nearly 2 years later I can't stop gazing at it like a fool. :)
Mine is a beautiful blue sapphire! She's so very special because she is unique, delicate, totally me, and best of all FI picked her out all by himself! I gave him one guideline--I don't want a diamond. I also hinted that I really like sapphires, but for a while I was convinced he was getting me an emerald or an opal (my birthstone). So happy he went with sapphire!
I could not ask for a more perfect ring! :)

@Oribel013690: loooooove your ring! i'm a sapphire girl too!
here is mine.. my FI picked mine out all his own too.. and it is so me. simple and clean :D
I just posted mine a few days ago on another discussion, but I love it so I'll share again. I <3 sapphires, both for the meaning (fidelity, loyalty) and because I remembered when Princess Di picked a sapphire so I've always thought of sapphires as the stone of princesses.
Mine is an amethyst - on a scarf, so a bit hard to see. But I can't wait to get some better pics during engagement photos!
@noritake22: Every time I see this ring, I just swoon! It is so gorgeous. Do you have any pics of it on your finger?
Awww... mine isn't a colored stone, but it is non-traditional (ie: not a diamond). Can I still play??

It's a pearl (so maybe ivory-colored?) on a platinum band. I <3 it. :)
Mine is aquamarine also. I chose a very pale one not knowing that the more valuable stones are a deeper blue.
I just liked the icy whitish blue so that's what I got! lol
Ewww, my shar-pei hands!
My 18ct sapphire and diamond vintage ring. I fell madly in love with it the minute I saw it and knew it was THE ring. Sorry about picture size and quality.
I have a green tourmaline. FI asked me to design my e-ring because I have very specific taste in jewellery and he wanted to make sure I got something that was "me".
I love my tourmaline because it's pleochroic, and green is my favorite colour.
