Nope, for a wedding, I would only consider a white/ivory dress.  Anything else, for me, seems like it’s a fancy gala rather than my wedding.  But, just IMO!

Vera Wang has been showing color since last year…but the dresses are white, ivory, or blush when they hit the stores.  I think that reflects what people are asking for.

That being said, the red gowns she showed today were stunning and I think the deep garnet colors showed off the textures beautifully!

I would have chosen a coloured gown ie. not white, but my FI really wanted me to wear white. I’ll actually be wearing ivory.

But I will be incorporating colour into the outfit somehow. I’m just not an all-white kind of person. I’m thinking coloured shoes, coloured tights or maybe a cardigan for the reception.

I love colored gowns for weddings, but I prefer pastel colors still. Blush, pale blue, and silver/grey are my favorites. I like black too but only if it’s lace.  : ) And I’m wearing a pink gown.

Colored dresses are great. If you’re going to a prom!

I think I would personally stick with pastel or neutral if I went color… or champagne… just a little different, but not too different!

You only get married once (hopefully) so it’s the one time you get to wear a fabulous white dress!

For me personally, I would only ever consider white/ivory. I think blush dresses can still look bridal, but I think that’s the most color that a dress can be without looking prom/not bridal.

It’s not for me.  Mine is white.

I’m leaning towards yellow or lavender myself. I’m just not a traditional fancy person. Plus I’d worry about all the food I’ll drop on it. Good chance for red wine too.
