I think pink shoes are a bit much. You could give them a pink pashmina type shawl which they'll wear again..but unless they have pink dresses, it's not likely they'll wear it again.
I have a pink pashmina and I wear it with black dresses all the time.
That way the bouquets and accessory will have the pop of color. How about if not a shawl, a pink jewelled brooch attached at the waist or on the bodice of their gowns for the color pop? Or maybe pink and green headbands for them?
Something like this (for the brooch). Very vintage looking.

I think it's a great idea! I love adding color. IMO, not tacky!
Thanks bellenga! I think that brooch is beautiful! Never thought about adding the pink in that way, but that could definitely work. I want the look to be fun, but elegant...not over the top. Thanks for your opinion!
Thanks JennyBryde....love the pink shoes in your picture! See, that really makes me want them! So cute :)
I think some over coloring can get to tacky....try to find an inspiration picture that you love, and show that to your doubting bridesmaids. Maybe they are visual learners and just can't picture what you mean. It happens!
I think it could be nice but if your BMs are hesistant, how about champagne shoes? I think it could be a nice match.
I personally love the idea of pink shoes, too, and I don't think it's too much pink. My girls will be wearing brown dresses, with light pink shoes and holding light pink bouquets. I just think it balances out.
Personally, I think it depends on the shoes. If your talking about some fabulous strappy sandals that could go with a cute summer dress or simple black dress or jeans, then great. But if you're talking about pink, dyed to match "bridesmaidy" shoes, then I can see their resistance. Great idea to show them pictures & maybe that will help them see your vision.
I would totally wear pink sandals again - as a matter of fact, I have at least 3 or 4 pairs of them. Green and pink are fun and springy - go for it!

Hey Ladies! Thanks for all the good advice/suggestions! No, I am definitely not into the dyed to match bridesmaid shoes...definitely thinking more along the lines of fun, strappy sandals. Definitely plan to let them pick what they want for shoes, as long as they're pink. Feeling confident again about the pink shoes!! I definitely will send my girls some pictures of what I had in mind....great suggestion! Thanks hive :)

Hey hive! Just looking for a few opinions here. We're having a spring wedding next May, and our colors are green and pink. My current plan for my BMs is a green, cocktail length dress of their choice....accompanied by pink flowers, and.....pink shoes?? What do you think?? Are pink shoes too much? I think they're fun...but some of my bridesmaids seems less than enthused. Any thoughts??
