I think that the two different colors will be okay. I think as long as the dress/tux match it will work out. I doubt anyone will really remember that the blue on the invitations looks a little different the what is in the wedding on your big day!
I think you'll be ok. I was at a wedding about 2 years ago and the color was teal. I went and pulled out their invite and STD and they looked more baby blue, but to tell you the truth I never noticed it until just now. If it's gonna bother YOU a lot, then maybe you'll want to try and match them. But if you're worried about guests noticing... I don't think they will. :)
I think different is ok because veyr few people will recognize the variation without putting the invitation right up to the tux or dresses.
We are having a dark red and white color wedding and its nearly impossible to match our dark red between the dresses, flowers, and stationary so we are actually working with several variations of the same color family. It creates an effect similiar to a bouquet of different flowers all near the same color--it can be very lovely.
Thanks... I was seriously about to return the invites to Michaels and start the search for new ones. (poor mr. s huh?! I think he owes you guys one). They are all blues so maybe use the variations together like you suggested that would give me more flex room with a lot of things .
I really think it will be fine. Our purples definitely aren't all exactly the same!
I'm having 3 different purples and I love the way all the different sahes look together, I think it will be great with the 2 you have :)
I don't think anyone will notice. My invitation colors and wedding colors are similar but not exact. Everyone who has seen my invitations so far loves them and I don't think they'll remember the exact color on the wedding day.
I think it will be fine... Most people won't even notice. Esp if it is in the same color family.

I found invitations that I love at a great price but now that we've picked out the tux (which I am TOTALLY in love with) I am afraid since one is more teal and the other more a baby blue that things won't seem cohesive. Is it okay to have a different color blue on the invites than the tuxes & dresses? What do you think? All one color? Two different okay?
