Mine is in October 2011 and I am doing a jewel tone, vintage, eco-friendly, shabby-chic wedding. Here are some pics of my ideas..I didn’t want the typical Fall wedding either! We are using colored glass vases and candle holders with home grown flowers in them along with lanterns. Bought all centerpieces at antique stores and found so many in my “jewel” tones. Bridesmaids are the lavendar color from our invites… same as invites ordered.

Mine is October 2011 and our colors are dark purple, turquoise, silver, white, and black. It sounds like a lot but it’s really pretty together.

Great season! We were going to get married in the fall, but I cant wait two years to marry my best friend (from the time we got engaged)!!

I was in the same boat as you though. I wanted something elegant and not overly-fall.

What about a pewter with bursts of cranberry, deep orange, or yellow? At one point I was going to have pewter bridesmaid dresses, then each girl would have their own color. I also thought about a toned down palate on the dress and the super rich, bright flowers. No matter what you choose just remember everyone is there for you to get married and I’m sure it will be beautiful no matter what!!

I vote for colors like what chittychittybanebane has…..those are some AMAZING colors and dont scream pumpkins and leaves….I like the idea of ventage theme. I am doing the leave theme because fall is my fav. season plus the FH and I met in fall and it was a beautiful scene with all the different color leaves…our love sorta just fell in place!

This might help (sorry about the pumpkins! LOL) … For the men, I like the purple tie with the black suit. And the touch of chartreuse/green (second pic), which is not a traditional “fall” color. A dark charcoal gray suit would look classy, too. Not crazy about the idea of brown.

Good luck – I LOVE this color combo!! Now you have me wanting a second, fall wedding. Cool
