- This Time Round

I have a very sparkly and wide E-Ring that is in 18 Kt White Gold.
Mr TTR as you can see bought me a gorgeous ring. And I love it dearly.
BUT I can be tough on my jewellery… especially so for items that I wear on a day-to-day basis 24/7×365. I know this as I am Encore Bride and I wore my last Bridal Set for 20+ Years (it was prominently 14Kt Gold Gold, with a modest diamond. I loved my rings dearly, but they weren’t very expensive. I almost never took them off, and they faired well all those years under regular wear & tear… some scratches & nicks but nothing major… never lost a Diamond for example). Overall they stood up very well.
This time round…
I seem to be more into wearing my E-Ring more selectively (primarily when I am out of the house), conscious I suppose of how much more it costs and the fact that it is a mass of diamonds (truly my choice) but also that it is an 18Kt White Gold Setting, so not as durable as my previous 14Kt ring set.
As I am tough on jewellery… and do intend to wear my W-Band 24-7×365 I am thinking that I don’t want to opt for a matching 18 Kt White Gold ring… but am instead considering matching up my E-Ring with a thin plain Platinum W-Band (1.8 mm or 2mm)… probabably a round, half-round or rolled version
BUT am quite concerned about the differences in colour between the two metals.
Of course, I could just head off to the Jewellery Store to “see” what looks best with my E-Ring… but I would also like to hear some feedback from Brides who have a Bridal Set that is made up of rings that don’t match. Is the difference between the two metals visible to the naked eye… are you happy with your choice?
Any info, much appreciated. Thanks
