I'm beginning to think I hate my colour scheme. Urg! I wanna change my accent colour. My main colour is Eggplant (which I love!) but I need an accent colour that goes really well with it. I was going to have gold, but it's proving to be difficult to incorporate, and I don't want it to look cheaply done.

What colours go really well with Eggplant?

PS it's an outdoor, nature-ey wedding.

    Thanks ladies!

What about a green?  I think that would go well with eggplant.

What about green?  Like olive green?  Are you wanting something that pops?

yeah, i need a lighter colour... The girls dresses are going to be eggplant, and there will be a flower accent (hard to explain), so I'm trying to think of what colour to do the flowers in.

Would a light green work for that??

    Go to this website: http://labs.ideeinc.com/multicolr/#

On that website, you can pick colors and images are displayed from Flickr with your desired colors! So that you can see what they look like together.

I really like Eggplant and a light blue ... but I love blue. I also think silver and "sparkle" would work well.

I agree, a light green would look really good. If you still want to stick with a gold color, you look into champagne colors instead. I also think a cream and baby blue would look good with eggplant.

My fiance and I went to a hardware store and picked out paint samples of every color we might want to consider. Once we for sure knew the burnt orange we wanted, we compared it individually to each paint sample and narrowed down our options by giving "Yay" or "Nay" reactions until we had our olor palette. It worked really well for us.

Lime green or try an orange or coral..sounds crazy but I have seen some gorgeous pics with those colors and eggplant.

    **FH voice of reason**

"Why do you need a THIRD colour?"

There will be a lot of white (our linens & chairs will be white, etc)... Can I just accent with the eggplant?

I'm really digging the "lime" green Orchids right now.. Orchids are so classy, and they will really make the eggplant pop without looking "Bright Neon" green...
