Does meetup have a space (meet up), or a hyphen (meet-up), or neither (meetup)? They all look wrong. ANYWAYS.......
I'm not sure how many Columbus (or central Ohio) bees we have here but I was just talking to the famous Mrs. Bunny and we think its about time for a..... gathering. :) Any interest?? We could shoot for meeting somewhere central like Northstar or SurlyGirl?

OMG, I'm not in Columbus but one of my BMs used to live in the apartments upstairs from SurlyGirl, and Northstar is so yummy! I clicked on this post, though, to implore you to go to Jeni's Ice Cream if you're in the neighborhood (no relation! ;) ). I miss it!
@jeni- omg... that is just a mean suggestion to a bunch of dieting brides... heh
lol, yes, I'm in the old married ladies group now... glad I don't have to fit in a dress anymore! ;) But Jeni's is sooo worth it, lol. (get the veggie burger at Northstar to make up for it!)
Depending on when it is - I'd love to come! I'm currently studying at WVU but I'm from Columbus and that's where we are having the wedding :-). Northstar is amazing!!!
Okay Columbus bees... I went to the bridal show at vets this weekend and there was like 5,000 brides there so you CANNOT tell me that there are only 3 people in this board in Columbus?!

I'm in NE Ohio and I'm about 2 hours away. I'd love to come but I can't promise anything! My car is acting up and my husbands car is stick-which I can't drive so I'd have to bring him along. But I'm definitely interested in a meet-up.
Ooh! I moved to the C-bus recently, and I'd love to meet up! I think I'm wearing my friends down with the wedding talk. :)
yay! i'm thinking maybe give this post another week or two to see if we can pick up any more locals and try to meet sometime in feb? if that works for people?
I'd love to make the trip down! I rotate weekends at work, so the weekends of the 13th and 27th are good for me. Let me know what you guys decide!
Also, bridal show? Where do you find info for these things? I'd love to make it to one but i'm never in the 'know.' Fill a girl in!! :)
@thismustbetheplace- i googled "bridal show columbus ohio." that's my secret inside source ;) for some reason this is bridal season (no idea why!) and there are bridal shows every weekend in jan and some in feb in columbus, cleveland, and akron. If I were you i'd just google toledo bridal show and see what pops up!
I knew about the Columbus Bride show because my company produces it (I don't write for it, sadly. I'm strictly a newspaper chick!). But yes, I'd love to meet all of you! I'm open every weekend in February for now. I will be gone the first weekend in March, though.
I'd like to meet up! i'm near Cleveland, but I just interviewed for a job in Columbus this week and I might be coming back if things go well. *fingers crossed* I'd love to come to the meet-up regardless.

Would the 27th of February be too soon for everyone? If so what about the 6th of March? an early afternoon meet up? I would love to meet up with everyone.
I'm free on March 6... what does everyone else think?? I wish there was a way to PM a group of people so we could make sure everyone who has responded saw this!
Let's try to shoot for March 6th then! Any suggestions or prefferences on a meeting place? If there is going to be a large group of us then I can reserve a community room at a panera or somewhere. I can pm all of the others who have replied to the post so far so that they know we are trying to plan something and we can find out how many of them will be interested and available March 6th.
Oh no! I'm going to be out of town that weekend! :( I guess you can meet up without me as long as you promise to do one again when I can be there.
I'm usually available Thursday evenings (March 18, March 25) and Sunday evenings (March 14 and 21). Saturdays are a little trickier. It would depend on the time of day.
But certainly if there's a group of you that can get together March 6 I would go for it. We've tried this so many times and it's always fallen through. I'd be glad to know one worked out even though I can't be there!

Right now i am totally IN for March 6th - but I have to say that it is somewhat dependant on my new nephew's arrival...he is scheduled to arrive on March 6th! So, I might be forced to stay (near) Cleveland to welcome him into the world. If she goes early, or has no signs of labor on that day, I am all in though!

I just found this thread, I haven't checked the local boards in a while. I would love to be apart of the meet up. March 6th is good for me.
I'm in for the 6th so long as it is an afternoon meet up, my bachelorette party is that evening!
Ok so since most of you seem ok for March 6th lets plan a time. I would be available after 1pm that day. How about everyone else? Also if you know othe Ohio Bee's please make them aware of this thread so they to can try to meet! Also where would everyone want to meet? There is Easton mall, Polaris mall, Tuttle mall, and of course other locations. I was trying to think of an area that would be easy to locate or that people would be familiar with. I can try to look into rooms that would be free for us to book so we aren't in the middle of a crowded location trying to talk.
Would 2:00 work for everyone? I don't know the area very well so I'm not much help for where we should meet but I do think a room would be helpful!

What normally goes on at these meet-ups? Do you share your wedding planning experience, vendor information, etc?
Easton would be a nice place to meet up.
We haven't had one yet where everyone was able to go from what I've heard but we can talk about whatever. It can be wedding related or not. I am excited because I have been going back and forth about trying to put together a women's social group where we can meet and talk about whatever or share stories. I'm ok with Easton as well. I have been gathering information on places to meet and I will post where we will meet this week. I need to know who all is in so I have a head count in case I need it in order to reserve a room. Is everyone ok with the Easton area at 2:00pm?
Ok ladies we are planning for Saturday March 6th at 2pm in the easton area. I counted previous posts and came up with 6 girls including myself who can/ potentially can meet. Is there anyone else who has not posted already who can come or thinks they may be able to come*nudge nudge*?
Also since there isn't a big group for me to reserve a community room, how do we feel about a restaurant? What type of place would we be interested in? I am so excited that we are doing this! Anyone like Max N Erma's, California Pizza Kitchen, or....
