The FH and I are planning a tiny wedding (>40 guest) on a tiny budget ($3,000 MAX). I would like to save money by combining the ceremony and reception space and thus only having to pay for one venue (Or if we get married in my Future Sister-In-Law backyard not having to pay for a second venue). I think that our very small guest list will allow for something like this to happen but I just want to see if anyone can point out any problems in logistics… It would look a little like this:
I would have tables to either side of the aisle, with the aisle leading to the head table. The guest will be seated at their assigned table and then I will walk down the aisle. We can say our vows in front of the head table (uncomplicated and 5 minutes tops) and then we can sit down or mingle amongst guest while they get their food (It will be a back yard bbq sort of deal so there will be long tables to one of the sides holding food).
