Yes, I think he could totally pull that off..all a "tux" really has that a suit doesn't is the satin on the lapel and down the side of the pants... :)

We decided it might be worth it to use part of our wedding budget to buy my fiance a suit - he's never had one before! We were thinking he could wear a black suit, and a sage green tie.
We were considering adding in a vest for the whole ensemble too. Could I combine a satin tuxedo vest with a black suit, or is that going to look weird?
Here's the vest and tie combo we were thinking of... Do you think they'd look good with a black suit??
