Anyone out there considering combining your Save the Dates with a holiday greeting? I have not been able to find too many examples of this online. Espacially in a postcard format ( to save money and postage).

I think that sounds like a really great idea. Haven’t seen any examples but I’ll keep my eyes open.
Have you tried just coming up with some yourself?
I think that is exactly what I am going to have to end up doing, but I’m unsure about the wording.

Never seen this but I love your sn. Can I assume you are having a rainbow wedding or is it not related?
Yes I am. Well not too much of a rainbow though. I have narrowed it down to my bridemaids being in different color dresses and I will probably in corporate the rainbow into the cake.

I did this for my save the dates last year and it seemed to go over well, I just sent a pretty Holiday card with my STD magnet included in an envelope with a little note.

Last Christmas we did normal holiday cards and then included the STD magnet in the envelope. It was way early but we wanted to make sure we got to claim the date before anyone else in the family did. No one complained about them being sent early or that they were in with the holiday card. It definitely worked good for us, gotta love saving postage

I think it’s a great idea! I hope to do it next year.

1.Joy to the world, we’re finally getting married!
2. Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
3.Santa wants you to know……..
That XXX and XXX are getting married!
Here’s a couple of samples that show how to combine STD’s and Christmas greetings:

@julies1949: ah that first one is so cute makes me wish I had another wedding to send out invites for!
Thanks, I thought it was cute too! It could easily be altered for someone who didn’t get engaged over Christmas, e.g
Brian and Julie have set a date!
Please save the date etc etc etc

I’m using this idea too! Do you mind me asking where you found the first image, I love that idea!

I would just make sure it stands out enough that people realize it is a STD instead of just another holiday greeting. I know I don’t always read the whole thing if it’s one of many holiday cards i’ve gotten, so it could get glossed over or set aside fairly easy if there isn’t somehting obviously “wedding” about it!

I love that idea, I think it will go over great!!!! I am so going to do it myself => Here are a few I found on line Hope they help!

Try WeddingPaperDivas.com – that’s where it seems many of these came from. I am using the same idea (Holiday Cards as save the dates) and this site is super cute and has a lot of the same images!!
