I had started to go in the direction of vintage garden for our wedding, lots of candles and lanterns, blues and purples with hints of green. A big part of our life is music, and we’ve also started incorporating a lot of that. So in our centerpieces alongside lanterns and flower petals, we were thinking of using musical confetti or votives with vellum music sheets wrapped around them. Our card box is going to be a guitar case filled with flower petals and I was thinking of using little musical notes for our place card holders. Does this work? I just don’t want it to look mashed together.

I think you could definitely incorporate both, but it depends on how you do it. The garden theme with subtle accents of music stuff would be really cute. I like the votives with sheet music and the card box, but might skip the confetti, since that seems more party-ish. Good luck!

I don’t think it would look weird at all. Musical instruments and music motifs are not dated so they won’t look out of place.

i think if you made the musical stuff look vintage-y it would work great. maybe tea stain the music sheets before putting them on the candles or antiqueing the musical note holders so they look oldish too? love the guitar case card box!

Riley jane: Yea I was iffy on the confetti, I’ll scrap it and brainstorm some more!
Good idea vagabond, I’ll give that a try!
And that’s what I was hoping, Ember, as long as I don’t go overboard like a 50’s diner we’ll be good 🙂
