@MrsEdamame:  Sarah Palin said something ignorant, but that’s to be expected from her.

@MrsEdamame:  Maybe…I loved the week before MLK day because we got to draw his picture and give his speech. There was always one kid who would be dramtic with the “I have a dream” part and we would all giggle. I thought every school celebrated it the way my school did, how strange.

@bellaluna290:  Whatever Sarah said can’t be any worse then the all wonderfully enlightened Madonna said.

Why is Madonna getting a pass and Paula Deen said something 20 years ago and she’s not ?

@HisIrishPrincess:  Uh, I don’t think anyone gave Madonna a pass. That’s why she took it down and apologized.

I’ve never cared for her but yeah.. she didn’t get a pass.

@HisIrishPrincess:  Ahh…no one gave Madonna a pass. And the Paula Deen thing was more than just something she said 20 years ago. I am not getting into this with you.

@peachacid:   “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn—-.”

then she followed that up with something along the lines of .. shut up you just don’t get it …. of course now there is the appology out from her now. (insert eye roll here)

@HisIrishPrincess:  I’ve seen some people on tv give her a pass.  I don’t think it was appropriate, but I also think intent matters and I don’t think her intent was negative.  I have trouble believing the same thing about Paula Dean.

won’t get into what with me?  I was asking why there hasn’t been a backlash against a woman who is raising two african children using a racist imflaming term.

@MrsEdamame:  The tweets are not at all shocking to me. Working in customer service, I just assume people in general are assholes. When I worked for a travel agency I had more than one person call to complain that there were too many black people at their resort (IN JAMAICA!!!!!) and ask me to call other resorts to see how many black people were there before moving them. Yeah, I’m not going to do that. You wanna make your racist phone calls and drag your happy ass over to the Whitey McWhite resort you think you’re gonna find? Go right ahead. And I LOOOOOVED it when they got pissed I wouldn’t “help” and “do my job” so they demanded to speak with my manager. Oh, she sounds British but she’s black, bigot, so THAT is gonna be a fun conversation.

But really… I wanted to say thanks for the link because the video is freaking hilarious and I think he’s my new favorite comedian.
