I voted yes. if the band is wide, then comfort fit makes a huge difference! especially if you want to take the ring off often. it helps the ring slide over the knuckles so much more comfortably! and when it’s on, it pinches less.

I’m a little confused by your post however– is comfort fit more expensive? when I went ring shopping for my FI’s ring, the choices were comfort fit or non comfort fit. they cost the same.

also, the comment about platinum. it’s not going to make a difference, comfort wise. all metals are going to feel the same against your skin. but yes, platinum is a good choice for other reasons, I’d recommend it!

My FI is over the moon about how comfortable his wedding band is with the Comfort Fit.

Hubs really liked the comfort fit.  As someone who doesn’t wear rings, the comfort fit was alot better for him.  He did have to go down a half size with the comfort fit ring.

We didn’t get comfort fit b/c it was SO much more. DH hasn’t said anything in complaint and he has to take his ring off daily for work. The only thing I’ve noticed is with mine I can tell it’s not the same kind of band as my e*ring… really though it’s not that big of a deal and we were able to get BOTH rings for the price that just DH was going to be =)

sorry, I still don’t understand– does comfort fit really drive up the price? because if you think about it, they have a little bit less metal due to the curved shape on the inside.

maybe the more expensive rings cost more for a totally diffrent reason– like if they were a different brand, or wider or something?  keep shopping around, I’m sure you’ll find one in your price range!

advice: if you want a “test” ring, look at sabrina silver (on amazon.com). their stainless steel rings are super affordable, you can get one to test it out. (also, I happen to think their quality is not bad if your FI wants a steel ring instead of a more precious metal!)

Husband got a comfort fit & loves it!

I agree w/ a few of the other posters – when we looked at rings, the comfort fit were just a bit more (but not by much) then the non.
