I used to think the idea of a coming home outfit was silly. But now I see there’s some merit to being able to give our daughter the outfit we brought her home in, for sentimental reasons.
What’s your plan for your baby’s coming home outfit?

We didn’t have anything special. I was more worried about having something that fit her (I knew she’d be a little big and a friend of ours also had a big baby and had to go home and get another outfit b/c newborn clothes never fit her) so I brought 2 outfits. Plus, I wanted it to be easy to put on and not go over her head, even though the nurse ended up dressing her.
I’m ok with my decision of a non special going home outfit. Especially b/c you can’t even really see it in her coming home photos.

@artbee: That is the sweetest photo of your little girl! I think my uterus just exploded (in a good way)

One of my friends gave us a cute little onside from Janie & Jack that we’re going to use but I didn’t really give it any thought. I have no idea what the heck my parents brought me home in.

We have a few outfits packed– one in a few different sizes (5-8lb, newborn, 3 months)– so we’re set depending on how big he comes out. Actually, we packed the 5-8lb one entirely because we thought coming home from the hospital may be the only time he ever fits it. All pretty classic looking since we’re hoping to get one good enough picture to frame.

This is Dirty Delete in her going home bodysuit. The same bodysuit her dad wore from the hospital 25 years earlier.
And this is her in her carseat going home. She was born in October….in Iceland.
