Weddingbee boards

Hello bees! I feel like I already know many of you since I have been lurking like a creepy stalker for quite a while. I'm a polite stalker though and figured I'd better introduce myself before I started posting questions and comments!

I am on older (41) bride-to-be from a smallish town south of Atlanta. I have an 11 year old daughter and and 12 year old dog. I'm an ADD crafter (lots of unfinished projects) and an avid reader (books never go unfinished). I'm a hockey fanatic who is still mourning the loss of my beloved Atlanta Tharashers. 

My fiance and I were friends in high school. We had crushes on each other but were each to shy to tell the other (he was a senior - I never thought he'd be intertesed in a lowly sophmore!). We lost touch after he graduated but thankfully 22 years later a friend convinced me to join facebook. My fiance found me on facebook and this time he wasn't to shy to ask me out. I forgave him for being a Rangers fan and said yes.

On NYE my high school crush asked me to be his wife and my little girl to be his daughter  (she even got her own ring).  Now I am knee deep in wedding planning and having a blast. 

I'm excited to be a part of WeddingBee now that I've crawled out of the bushes and said hello! :)

My daughter is beyond thrilled. My fiance is more of a father to her than her bio dad is. When he proposed she started crying and said "you're gonna be my dad!"

We're definitely in planning mode. We actually booked our venue today! We're getting married Sept. 21st - my gradparents, my parents and his brother & sister-in-law were all married on that date. We figure with over 130 years of happiness between them the date must be lucky!
