My personal favorite is my grandma's special twist on it. She will tell me that, "Wow, you're looking great...you were really fat before!" She couldn't just stop at the first part :-). At least I know it's not just me. She told me cousin (in the middle of our church basement, with lots of people around) that her outfit made her look really fat. She just doesn't have any tact.
What I just do is try to focus on the positive part. It's nice when people realize that you're losing weight :-).
I usually get it either when people are behind me, or talking to me. I think that the weight comes off my hips/behind and face most apparently. I think it is normal that we all lose it in a certain place most apparently, and people notice it.
@keepsmiling19 - Granny's are too funny!! :) Mine does the same kind of thing, they lose their filters at a certain age I think. Example, my Granny says to me the other day, Wow are you losing weight...Your collar bones are all bony.

Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate a compliment and especially when people have noticed I've been working hard on getting back in shape.
However, it never seems to fail that people will comment about my weight loss when they are standing/walking behind me! This has happened repeatedly. It leaves me thinking "Yeaa....I get it....my hips and behind were really wide."
Anyone else on the receiving end of oddly timed compliments?
