Do you intend to get an eternity ring to complete your set? Why? What for? Specific date, anniversary, celebrating a moment in life?
I’m curious what people believe these days about when they should buy/wear them as I notice some people already have them before they’re married waiting to be worn with their wedding rings. I’ve heard some people get them as gifts after a year of marriage, 25 years of marriage, their first born etc.. what do you believe?
If you believe in having one or have one already show us your pics! Why’d you choose that type/style? 🙂

MrsSpagan: I have a half eternity ring. While I know many women that receive an eternity band to mark or commemorate a special milestone (anniversary, birth of a child, etc), I don’t believe theire is a specific tradition that says it has to be for a special moment. Both my sister in laws also received eternity bands as their official (first) wedding band.
Mine is my original wedding band (well, getting married itself it pretty memorable, I suppose ). It is set with 11 diamonds, custom made to symbolize my husband’s bday (11/11) and the month we were married, November.
the bottom one is my wedding band and the middle one is a stacker (no special occasion, I just happened to find a great vintage band that almost matches my ering).

I have an eternity band as my wedding band because it was the ring that caught my eye. My husband (I’ve waited ages to type that on the bee) *does happy dance* says I can pick an eternity band after 5 years, from my favourite jeweller. I’m excited for that day.

MrsSpagan: I have one as my wedding ring. I’d like another! I wouldn’t mind having one for our first married anniversary since it is also our tenth anniversary, but DH insists that it is NOT our tenth anniversary. He says it’s our second first anniversary. Gah! So, hopefully for our married tenth anniversary. That would be cool.

vintagelover32: Oh my goodness!! Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS!! Love your set and your incredible eternity band, too!
I always wanted an eternity band. It was a bit of a secret dream of mine. Over the years, though, I’ve concluded I am not meant to wear one. I am super hard on the backs of my rings. They always end up scratched and banged up a bit through daily wear. I think I would be too nervous about having gemstones down there getting bumped around by my clumsiness — LOL!

MrsSpagan: I’m having 2 half eternity bands made as my wedding bands. 🙂 One for each side of my engagement ring. And they’ll both be part of the ceremony.
Mwahahahaha. I’ll get other sparkly things for other occasions… the possibilities are endless!

longtimemrs: Thanks, and that is why it’s only a half eternity! There are enough stones to cover most of the top/sides of my finger only. I have never had to worry about losing or damaging a stone. I had too many friends lose stones due to it being a full eternity.
