Bees I would really love your input. Especially from anyone who is a doctor or anyone who has ever done this before. I called two pharmacys and my gyn and they all gave me different answers. I am a Sunday starter. But there was a problem with my pharmacy and I was not able to get my pills until Tuesday. Not a big deal because I would just take 2 on Tuesday (which would be for sunday and mondays dose) and then two on wednesday (which would be for tuesday and wednesdays dose). Then 1 pill every day after. Here is where it gets messed up. I took the two on Tuesday, and then last night, I FELL ASLEEP before taking my other two! Now I have NO IDEA what to do! I wasnt sure if I could take two tonight and then two tomorrow and then since I will be back on schedule, just continue to take one a day again?

One pharmacy told me yes I could do that, another told me to take 1 pill every day until I finish the pack, and my gyn told me there is nothing I can do but stop the pills and wait for my period which is due ON MY WEDDING DAY:(:( I was supposed to skip my cycle this month for that very reason! What do I do ladies? I asked my gyn about this and she told me that she cant guarantee that will do anything or that I wont have spotting or an early period. Ladies I am sitting here n tears. Please help me:( I am not concerned about the pregnancy aspect of it, I am concerned about the getting my period on my wedding day.

I would go ahead like usual when you get to the sugar pills, just start another pack and you shouldn't have a period or a very light one.  I used to do that all the time back in the days when I had to take them.  Worked like a charm.

I mean I am not as concerned about the birth control aspect of it, I am concerned of getting my period on my wedding day. Do you think if I take two pills today, two pills tomorrow, and then one pill from here on until the sugar pills, that I will be ok and not have an early period or anything like that?

I think since you took the first 2 albeit late, then double 2s after that, it should be fine.  Now pregnancy protection could be compromised, but I think you are way more concerned about skipping your period...  I think since it's early in the month you will have time for the hormones to be somewhat normal by the end.  I'm sure that's the last thing you thought you'd have to worry about this month!  Sorry!  I would definitely not do the second option.  That gives you no hint of control whatsoever.

I'd also just take the pills as you planned.  The first week of a pack the hormone levels are really low, so it's *less* likely that you'll have spotting because you missed one.  And this way you can get yourself back on track.

Other pill advice - set an alarm on your cell phone for the time you take your pills.  Much harder to miss them that way.  Also, I was a Sunday starter, but I always got my period on Wednesdays and it lasted until Sunday.  Boo to that (who wants their period on the weekend if they don't have to?)  So I moved it up, and now I'm a Friday starter, meaning I have my period Monday-Friday and then it's gone.  Totally possible to do (though maybe not this month since you're already off-track).  Good luck!

Keep taking your pills continuously, but if you don't want to get pregnant, use a male or female condom as back-up.

Definetely take the pills the way you originally planned. Just pick up where you left off doubling up is not a big deal. I've been on the pill 5 years and have done it several times. If you do this your plan should work just fine and you should be period free for your wedding.

It depends on your body, I think. Have you ever tried to skip your period before? Whenever I tried it, I would still get my period but it would be lighter and longer. :( For some people, skipping the sugar pills and starting the next pack works like a charm. I'm unlucky and it just totally screws with my body. Good luck to you though (and don't forget to use condoms. Better safe than sorry if you're using it as BC)!
