Looking for some advice.
I have chosen my dress (yay! – Casablanca 1971, which is from 2009 and I got it for a GREAT price) and am now feel I have to mold the entire wedding around the gown. Am I wrong in feeling that way? I love the rustic/shabby chic outdoor weddings but my dress is more glamourous and formal… Do you think a lace overlay/bolero would look out of place with this dress?
I found these photos around the internet after searching the dress so I don’t own them. I’m just posting so you can see what it looks like. Thank you soo much!
Here’s the look I like (to cover the shoulders for the ceremony).
or there’s this idea…
And since its champagne/ivory – Could the guys wear khaki suits- or do they need to be more formal to match the dress?
wAnd what do I have the bridesmaids in? I m seriously considering a tasteful (if that’s possbile) ivroy/gold sequin dress for them, but my favorite color is aqua. Would aqua even go with this dress? Or is that a more stark white compliment?
Thank you for your opinons and sorry for all the pictures!!

Congratulations on finding the dress!
it’s gorgeous! I love how romantic lace looks. I think lace can go either way: glamorous or rustic chic. I think its about the accessories.
IMHO, your bridesmaids can wear any color you want them to (just not white 🙂 ).
Aqua and gold/champange sound really good together. I don’t think it has to be sequins, unless you’re a fan of it. Satin or chiffon would be nice too.
Your third picture down is the one I like the most. It is beautiful. The sleeves are awesome!
Ultimately, it’s your decision.
Let us know.
I hope this helps!

I could TOTALLY see your dress in a rustic chic wedding! In fact, that’s how I first saw the picture!
I think the guys will be fine in khaki, and I seriously think either of those bridesmaids options would be gorgeous, and they might even add to the rustic vibe, particularly the aqua. If the sequins are accessorized right, that could even be the chic part of rustic. 😉

@wj14: I totally understand! I’m right there with you. Having people confirm does give your decisions some validation, especially about a big day!
