@doubtingdebbieah:  I wouldn’t worry about that, it’s normal to enjoy your alone time! Maybe you need to build a bit more of it into your life together? enjoy it!

i totally understand where you’re coming from. i like to travel alone, fall asleep watching tv and eat by myself every once in a while. it’s fun. it’s different. it’s a break.

as long as you’re happy to have him back…

There is nothing wrong with you, I think it’s natural. Everyone needs space sometimes to recharge on their own, relax and do their own thing.

A few times a year I’ll go away for the weekend with my girls, and honestly I have so much fun that I don’t miss him. But when I come back home I am so excited to see him! He’s my best friend, but like any friend you can’t be around each other 24/7. Having your own life outside of your spouse is a healthy thing. Enjoy your week!

I’m pumped when my SO is out of town! I work a flex schedule and I have Tuesdays off and it’s the only time I’m home alone – I LOVE it. It’s not that I don’t love my SO, but I love “me” time and I always have. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with enjoying your alone time. It’s a nice treat once in a while 🙂

Mr Tea just started traveling more for work…and I like it. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that! We have more to talk to each other about, I get lots of alone time (I lived alone for five years before we got together) and the time we have together is so much better. When he comes back from a trip, I’m thrilled to see him.

I wouldn’t worry about it!

I think it’s mostly normal, but do you feel like you can’t exerise or organize or do those things when he’s home?

My bf just had guys night last night, and after he left I was planning on getting some stuff done & chillin by myself for a little, then heading over to my friends house to hang out… welllllll fast forward to like 3 am I was still at home, relaxing, drinking wine & watching a law & order marathon.. it was awesome. I realized we hadn’t really had much time apart lately and I was DEFINITELY in need of some me time! I was excited when he came home, but I also would have been ok if he turned guys night into guys weekend on a whim lol! Don’t feel guilty! As long as you’re happy when he is there, it’s normal to look forward to you time! I wouldn’t worry about it at all, and you’ll probably start to miss him after a few days go by.
