I’ve “washed” with baby wipes out of desperation… in the days when a shower and a good night’s sleep were non-existant.

I litterally just laughed out loud at work reading this. I would have probably done the same thing. I have used body wash before when I was out of shampoo, never thought of the pup’s shampoo! Creative thinking!!

I don’t think that’s that weird. I mean Mane and Tail is meant for humans and horses and I’ve definitely used Sauve on horses in the past.

When I went to Guatemala I didn’t pack a full sized soap, so when I ran out of my travel sized body wash I used shampoo for the rest of the month. My legs were really soft even when I didn’t shave at least.

@Eva Peron: haha, you’re awesome! Dogs always smell so good after they’ve been bathed. I bet you smelled just as wonderful!

@Eva Peron: Haha oh that is too funny!!

I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but I know there are some things I’ve done out of desperation!

That’s brilliant! We have ‘Pet Head’ for ours, made by the same people as ‘Bed Head’ (Tigi). I don’t know if you get that in the States, but it smells really good, so if pushed, I’d probably use it!

Your coat should have extra vitality now…lol

the dish soap thing isnt so bad, my hair gets oily pretty fast so I add a drop of dawn to my bottle of shampoo and it helps get rid of the oil buildup of course if you use it too often its going to really dry your scalp out. sometimes I use conditioner in place of shaving cream and SO’s razor if I dont have one

Ran out of shaving cream and used bar soap—now that’s all I use. It’s way better for me at least!

And in the kitchen I’m always running out of stuff and making weird substitutions. Brown sugar for regular, salsa for tomato sauce, whatever spice I’ve got in place of expensive spice the recipe calls for. 😀

@Eva Peron: I think as long as you don’t resort to using blueing shampoo you’ll be okay
