Wow girl! You are on the ball. I am so dreading thank you notes. I get the worst writers block and my seven year old cousin's sound more intelligent. You are the thank you queen.
Basically I just said the person's name, thanks for whatever they gave us, and we can't wait to use it, and thanks for sharing in our special day. And then signed it with either Love always, or with love, or thanks again.
For the money or gift cards I said thank you for the generous gift, it was so thoughtful of you...
Once I started, they all just kind of flew out, and each one was personal by using names and what they gave or how we plan to use it...
We got a rolling pin, and I mentioned beating the hubby over the head with it if he pisses me off (friends gave it to us), it really wasn't all that bad, and I made a deal with DH that I would do ALL the thank you cards if he would find places for all the gifts and clean up the mess from the rehearsal and gift opening :)
Yeah, I am done, he is sooooo not even close! HAHA! I WIN deal #1 ;) HAHA!
please pass some of that organized vibes over my way!!! LOL awesome...congrats pumpkin!
Wow! Go you!
I have some thank you cards sitting next to me and I haven't touched them yet. Not the first one.
BUT... I will say that as we got gifts (usually delivered to our house by some small shops in town, before the wedding) I wrote out thank yous and went ahead and sent them. We still have a ton to do, but it would have been much, MUCH worse had I not done them as we went...
that is awesome! props to you! And i'm totally gonna get those stamps!
That is awesome, good for you! And all of your guests will be equally impressed when they get a personal thank-you that fast!
Thank you ladies :)
I guess it helps that we are doing our honeymoon in the spring instead of right away, so it works out nicely :)
So I finally got the awesome stamps with the picture of our first kiss on them, and they are HUGE and BEAUTIFUL!!!! Take a look :)
Our thank you cards are 4 inches by 5 inches, and the stamp is about 1 inch by 1 and a half inch. So the picture is large enough for our guests to see who it is :) totally worth the extra $ because they are wonderful!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
So we got married on Saturday, spent the night in a nice hotel room, and actually left an hour before check out in order to get home and open PRESENTS!! We got SUPER SPOILED and we only got three things NOT on our registry (what I mean is that all the gifts we got were off the registry, except 3 people bought us stuff we didn't ask for but were A-MAZE-ING!)
While one of us opened the presents, the other wrote who it was from and what they gave us, we alternated....
Sunday night, we used our brand new popcorn machine, and projector with 100 inch screen in our awesome basement and watched some new movies (we went shopping with the gifts cards HAHA!) While watching movies, I wrote out 60 thank you cards to our guests for the gifts, sealed and wrote addresses on them....So yeah, my confession....my thank you cards are ALL DONE! Only TWO DAYS after getting married!
We ordered those nifty stamps from the USPS where you can put your own picture on the stamp (we used the one of our first kiss as husband and wife) and they should be here tomorrow or Wednesday, and then I can stamp all the thank you cards and get them OUT!
*Not really bragging, but I am pretty damn proud that I am all done with them, because I don't want to have to deal with them HAHA!
