I love seeing girls that are taller than their guys…I get so jealous!  I’d love to be taller.  I’m 5’2″ and have never dated anyone under 6’2″.

ROCK THE HEELS!  And I love the Randees.  And I totally get shoefever every spring, too!

I voted other because I am almost FI’s height when I have on heels. We are BOTH extremely tall (I think) because I am 5’9/5’10 and he is 6’4. So depending on the heel-height I can be a pretty comparable height to him. I prefer shorter heels simply for comfort reasons, and on “the big day” will be wearing flats because I am a whore for comfort. Like, seriously.

Wear whatever shoes you want! Those are both awesome, though I do like the Badgley Mischka ones best. I wear my high high heels when we are going “out, out” Like…dancing, bars, nice dinners, other weddings. Just not my own. Lol.

@AmeliaBedelia: Same here! I voted other because I am just about the same height as Fiance when I wear heels.

I’m 5’8″ and Fiance is 5’9″ amd I’m wearing 3.25 inch heels to our wedding so I’ll prob be an inch or two taller than him after you factor in the soles of his shoes. He is totally ok with it and I wasn’t going to pass up cute shoes on my wedding day. As a bonus I didn’t have to pay to hem my dress. I say go for those Randees, they’re gorgeous.

Well, I am 4 inches taller than Fiance. So it is pretty obvious all the time, even in flats. That being said, I don’t wear many heels, around him or otherwise. Being a 6′ freshmen girl will really turn you off sticking out anymore than you already do. I sometimes wear this really cute pair of aboit 1.5″ heels, but usually only if Fiance is wearing boots which make him taller. I am having such an issue with finding wedding shoes because all the cute ones are sky high, I can’t walk in them and Fiance wouldn’t like it if I did. He is secure enough to date me but prefers I not be towering almost 7 inches over him in heels. My personal insecurities aside, if you can rock them and they don’t make you a foot taller, rock them! I love both those shoes you posted.

I voted other.  I am 5’9″ amd Fiance is 5’11” (so pretty much the same as you).  In our everyday life I don’t mind being taller than him in 4″ heels, and neither does he.  But he did specifically request that I not be taller than him in our wedding pictures, and I tend to agree with him for that day.  So I shopped and shopped until I found a pair I loved with a 3″ heel (which puts him 1/2″ above me with his dress shoes on).  I say go for what you love!!  Does your Fiance care about you being taller on the wedding day?

I’m 5′ 6″ and Darling Husband is 5’11”.  I just bought some 5″ platform sandals, which I love – but I feel like I absolutely tower over Darling Husband – so I haven’t worn them!!!  (so sad)  I’m even thinking of returning them.  even sadder.

In ‘normal’ heels (3 1/2″) I’m fine with our height – but it just seems so strange to be towering over him….

My sister is the same height as her Boyfriend or Best Friend so when she wears heels, she is taller. What I think when I see a woman wearing high heels that make her taller than her partner is that it takes confidence for the girl and the guy. I love it because I think confidence is really sexy. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the look of heels, but I cannot for the life of me wear them longer than an hour at a time hah.  I have pairs under my desk at work in fact so that I can switch into them for meetings.

In terms of being taller than Fiance, I’m about 2 inches shorter than him, and so if I wear heels, I’m taller than him.  And I know it shouldn’t matter, but it makes me feel awkward.

So I guess it’s kind of a win that I like wearing flats more in the first place ๐Ÿ™‚

I am taller than my FI when I wear heels.  I have a major shoe addiction. I generally wear my heels at work to break em in and then I wear them out dancing or for anything that requires dressing up.

Fi isn’t a huge fan of me being taller than him but I wear them anyways because they make my massive calves look smaller :p

@MissHighHeel: I could have written that post!

Except I’m two inches taller than you. My Fiance is about two inches taller than I am, so it really limits what shoes I can wear without being taller than him. Normally, I’m fine with being a little bit taller, but I know he’s kind of insecure about it. So I’m going with 1 – 1.5″ heels for the wedding because neither of us really want me to be taller in all of our wedding pictures. It sucks because I’ve seen so many gorgeous pairs of heels that I would love to wear and it’s been a challenge to find really awesome shoes in a low heel. I’m having a pair custom made but I’m having doubts that I’ll ever even get them (they normally ship in three weeks but due to overwhelming demand – the company was featured on the Today show – they’ve run into all these manufacturing delays and I’ve been waiting almost three months!)
