Another detail I’m not sure I want to include, but curious to know your thoughts. My ceremony an deception take place at the same venue. AfTer the ceremony, there will be no leaving the church, so no opportunity to throw confetti. I’m not fussed about having confetti, but my groom brought it up last night. just curious to know what others here think about throwing something at the newlyweds as they head back down the aisle together?

check with the venue. A lot these days don’t allow confetti, so making sure might save you the decision.

I doubt the venue will allow it.

Does your venue even allow this? Almost every place we looked at forbid throwing things like confetti or we would have to pay an extra clean up charge.
Is your ceremony in the same room as the reception? If so, will it get cleaned up before the reception? It would bother me if there were dirty confetti pieces on the floor during my reception.

Well I’m going to go against the grain and say I love it. The confetti everywhere is a bit annoying but it’s part of the fun. I use flower petals when I’m a guest at an outdoor wedding, but for indoors confetti should be ok. As others have said, you’d need to check with your venue though.
