So my PCP just called me and gave me the results for my hcg quantitatinve I had done yesterday morning.
Said it looked good in correlation for a 4 to 5 week pregnancy.
Good right?….. well I’m confused!
I know when conception would’ve happened since Darling Husband and I were trying (July 9th or so) but I know that for pregnancy weeks they always add the 2 weeks from your LMP.
So you if you go by my conception date I would be around 4 weeks preg & from my LMP I’m right at 6 weeks preg.
The nurse called and woke me up so of course I didn’t think about any of this until after… but now I’m confused and feel a little worried. GRRRRRR
I guess if it was of worry she would’ve said it was “low” right? UGH.. hate when I think of these questions AFTER they’re closed =/
Guess I jsut have to call tomorrow. sigh

You would want to go by your conception date if you are really confident enough. I wouldn’t worry. The important thing is that they are doubling anyway, people’s numbers can be all over the place. They won’t probably check to see if they are doubling unless there is a problem though.

I wouldnt worry. Only worry when the doctor actually tells you to worry. Its common to have low hcg….this is why some women have false negitive pregnancy test and then they go to the doctor to find out why they have the “flu” and they run blood work and see that they are pregnant. I know that my gyno/obgyn always told me pregnancy situation or other problems down there not to worry until he tells me to worry!

You’ve probably already looked this up, but it doesn’t like there should be much concern no matter which way your pregnancy weeks are measured because the “normal” level range varies so much:
First week: 0-50 mIU/ml
1-2 weeks: 40-300 mIU/ml
3-4 weeks: 500-6,000 mIU/ml
1-2 months: 5,000-200,000 mIU/ml
2-3 months: 10,000-100,000 mIU/ml
2nd trimester: 3,000-50,000 mIU/ml
3rd trimester: 1,000-50,000 mIU/ml
