If there's already a service charge, you are probably okay just tipping for extraordinary service. I did tip my independent vendors (photog, makeup, hair) just because I felt like they did a great job and also their prices were already cheaper than other similar vendors.

Hi bees,
I've looked at tipping etiquette on a few sites, but am still a bit confused. Our only vendors are Venue/Caterer (all-in-one package), a photographer, DJ, and florist. The last 3 are all independent business owners, so as I understand it, tip is not necessary.
The venue/caterer is a bit more complicated. Our package includes literally everything: setup, free valet parking for guests, waitstaff, coatroom attendants, day of coordinator, etc. They have included an 18% service charge in our bill. Does this mean we are not responsible for tips? And if we should tip, who exactly gets the $$?
If you have a similar package deal for your wedding, I'd love to hear what you planned/are planning to do.
