I think it looks beautiful and perfect!

ETA: You only got the ring yesterday, give it some time before you decide if you want to exchange it or not. I wasn’t sure about my ring for quite some time and now I’m crazy about it! You might find that once you give it a few days that you really love it.

I think it looks beautiful but what matters is how comfortable you are with it, I went with a 0.33 carat and I love it! Maybe give yourself some more time to see if you get used to it and then decide.

The photo makes it a little hard to tell honestly. Can you take a shot looking directly down on your hand? If that makes any sense? It looks like a very pretty ring to me!

I think you’re crazy =) Why don’t you keep it for a while and see? It seems like everyone experiences a bit of ring shrinkage, so after you’ve had it for a bit, it might start feeling smaller.

@WillowTreeWade:  Thanks! I actually think it looks even better now! I love it.

I think it’s a nice size, but it may be large for your taste, or your area. Our tastes are often highly influenced by the norms of those around us. If you’d be happier with a more delicate engagement ring, there’s nothing wrong with that!

@WillowTreeWade:  I think you should wait a little while before you decide. But I can see how that could be too big for your tastes. I think I might feel the same way if I had a ring that size. I do think it looks lovely, though! In case you want some comparison, here’s a photo of my (blue) sapphire. I think it’s about the equivalent of a .23 carat diamond? It’s about 4mm, I believe (the side diamonds are about .06 carats each). Oh, and I’m a size 6.25.

ETA: I’m also in the maritimes! 🙂

It’s a gorgeous ring! I don’t think it looks too big, it looks just right on your finger.  I would give it a few days and keep wearing it, because the more you look at it the more you may grow to love it just like it is.

@WillowTreeWade:  It’s true, we aren’t that flashy here! Do you think that size would feel too small for a solitaire though? I mean, I’ve got the sidestones which help fill some of the space. Just food for thought! I’ve seen .25 diamond solitaires that look lovely 🙂

I think it looks pretty. We all have different tastes, I guess. My diamond is 1.33 carats in a halo, and I don’t find it too big. I just am learning to be careful since a) not used to wearing a ring on my left hand and b) I’m scared to smack it against something lol
