So until I became a bride-to-be I had never even heard of Boudoir and now it’s popping up everywhere and I can’t help it… I think I’m hooked on the idea of surprising my future hubby with this unexpected gift! Is anyone else considering boudoir photography?? I know he’d love it, and would never expect it. I’m comfortable in my skin and think it would be fun to look back on as we have kids, grow old, etc.
It’s pretty expensive so I’m debating if I should save it as a gift for our first anniversary? Share your thoughts…on any aspect of boudoir photography! 🙂

i’d love to get it too but i understand the price thing i actually saw once where a girl did just a few nice shots diy using a tripod it wouldn’t be the real deal but you could see what he thinks get ideas and splurge on the one year anniv

I did them and had so much fun! It was a splurge but I convinced myslef it was ok since we didn’t get the e-pics I wanted. We cheaped out on the e-pics and I kind of regret it.
I’m saving it for some anniversary though (5 year maybe!). I’m not sure if my SO would like it since he’s not so happy with the idea of having half naked pics taken…but I didn’t care. I feel like the photos are more for me because they make me so happy when I see them:)

Good to hear! I’m not too excited about the DIY boudoir pics that I’ve seen — I really like the uber glam professional ones. I’m glad to hear someone else splurged! I think as long as they’re tasteful it will be a cool surprise.
@ms scarlet — how many “outfits” did you do? I’m wondering if the costs will keep piling up as I purchase items to wear, get some glam makeup done, etc…

I did them! I had a blast it was sooo much fun all i can say is make sure you get all the prices for books etc in writing/ flyer BEFORE. I did everything over the phone she quoted me 100-400 for prints HA- the cheapest book with 10 4X4 was $500! Mine ended up costing 895
