Have you told her exactly what you don’t like about what she did? I didn’t like my first trial and gave her feedback. I was very blunt and she was able to fix everything on the day of and it looked fine.

If you’re not satisifed you should definitely find someone else. Have you paid her a deposit?  It’s likely that you may not get your deposit back depending on the terms of your agreement. But you should be happy with your makeup 100% and you need to find someone who can do that for you.  Good luck!

@ms.oregon.state:  I would definitely start looking for a new MUA….and explain to them the situation, see if they will give you a discount…then get a refund (minus trial fees) from the other MUA

don’t fire her until you hire another!  As for a refund – what does your contract say?!

usually you JUST pay a downpayment then pay the balance on the day of…..so she SHOULD give you a refund…

I am in a similar situation, I have paid full and was not at all happy. They required full payment.

I am planning to find someone else and try to get a trial done, then get rid of the current one.

I wasn’t completely satified but dis-satisified enough that I know I will be worrying.

Good Luck! I am sure you will figure it out and be gorgeous!

be honest with her and let her know that the second trial was still not what you were expecting.  are you showing her pictures??  keep in mind that we all have different shaped faces, eyes, lips, etc.  a mua will apply makeup to suit your face and feature shape.  some pictures you like of makeup on a celebrity may not be suitable for you.  keep in mind, they can still do a version of that look, (smokey, romantic, natural, etc) it just won’t look exact.

will she give you another trial and work with you until you are satisfied?

personally, if i wasn’t happy, i would wash my face and have her start all over again until i was.
