Negatives on pink dye FRERs? I am 3 days late on my period and have been having about one wipe a day (when I pee) of a tiny amount of light pink or brown spotting for 3 days. I have been getting consistent || and + on EPTs and Wal-Mart’s Equate brand version of the FRER (but with blue dye), but nothing on the pink dyes. Now this is all within about 4 mins and is def blue, not gray. I know all about the “evil blue dye false positives,” but my question is: have any of you ever gotten positives on blue dyes and nothing yet (early on) on pinks, but are in fact pregnant? Im not pinning my hopes on this, just wondering. I only have one more FRER and am going to wait and see if my period still hasn’t shown up in 5 days and then take it and see if it registers anything….if not, I’ll head to my dr. for a quantitative hcg blood test….

I would get a digital test.

@crazydogmom: When i got a BFP, it was only on my clinic’s test (I work in a hospital) but negative everywhere else. It turned out to be a chemical pregnancy though… I agree to try a clearblue easy digital but only take it with FMU so it’s most concentrated. If you’re getting negatives on a FRER (more sensitive) it could be because your pee has been too dilute every time you’re taking it…?

I would def consider a digital test, just to be sure

Well I stopped getting positive tests (and never any pink ones to begin with), so I got a blood test and was told that I’m not pregnant. I guess at this early on, it’s not always easy to tell if I was just getting a bunch of false positives or if it was a chemical pregnancy, so I’ll never know. At this point, I’m just glad to have a concrete answer, so we can move on and keep TTC. Thanks for all the support! 🙂
And if I was you, I would NOT buy any blue dye tests lol Too much frustration.

While I’m glad that you finally have an answer, I’m sorry to hear that was the outcome. That’s always hard. Wishing you lots of luck for the next cycle.
