I'm sure it's because of the holiday. Chinese New Year is a huge deal in China (go figure!) so I'd wait a week and email again.
Yeah, I think some companies literally shut down for about a week for Chinese New Years so that the employees can go home to family. I think there was a story last week on CNN about having terrible storms in China so people couldn't get on the train to go home to see their families the one time out of the year that they are allowed to. So when the train station opened up again briefly during a break in the storm, thousands stormed the station. It is a big deal! Definitely try and email again in a week.
Hey, I'm sure it's because of the holiday too. My uncle owns a business in China, and I know he shuts down for the whole week. I think that's pretty typical there. I think I'd give them until next week. Also, if you can email them in Chinese, I don't think it's a bad idea. If I learned anything from going over there this past Christmas, they sometimes give better deals to other Chinese.
I love China! A vendor contacted me today, and will ship my "sample" of 125 units
(min order is 1000 units). I am being charged .80 vs $5.00+ The Vendor said his name was "Victor" hmmm. Traditional Chinese name or maybe an ex pat? Very happy girl, easy peazy. I used Alibaba to create buying request.

I want to give dominos for a wedding favor, but I don't want to pay a ton of money. I found a few manufacturers in China that I've emailed but no response. Is it because of the holiday? Should I email them in Chinese?
Has anyone had any luck with contacting manufacturers in another country?
