If they are doing what they truly believe is right then they will suffer the pain of criticism willingly, but would greatly appreciate any support or positive comments they might get.

I always respect people like this even when I think they are completely wrong.

At least they have the guts to sacrifice “easiness” in life to do their best to try to change the world for the better, as best as they understand.

I don’t know whether you agree with them or not, but either way, the kindest thing you can do (besides stand up wth them…only if you wanted to, and impossible if you don’t agree, of course)… is tell them how you admire their efforts to try to better the world, while most people just sit around on their duffs, preening their social image or “face”.

@MrsFuzzyFace:  I really like what joya aspera said!

“I  always respect people like this even when I think they are completely wrong.”

I feel exactly like she does. If someone believes in something and it’s unpopular, I admire people who can stand alone and take the heat. Right or wrong, they are standing up expressing their opinion(s). Be proud that you are part of something unique. 😉

@MrsFuzzyFace:  Iam sure you are worry cause you care for them, but respecting and letting them do or go for what they believe for, is also being caring.  They are lucky to have such good friend like you, who is so worry for them, but iam sure they thought of the consecuences before they went for it.  As long as you are there to support their dreams, they will be fine, after all society always has The Kardashians to keep them distracted

What controversial thing are they doing? I doubt there’s much more they can do that people would be totally shocked by.

Didn’t you already say in another thread it was the Duggars you knew?  Though might be mistaken as you said they were just a friend of a friend and here we are talking about someone obviously a lot closer.

How to stop worrying? I’d avoid discussing the TV aspect of their lives, and avoid watching it if it bothers you. Focus on your girls, and the job you have raising them instead. At least that’s an aspect of life you have control over, because you can’t control an entirely separate family.
