Has anyone bought and worn a convertible wedding dress???? I long traditional gown for ceremony, where the train/skirt detach to make a cute cocktail/reception dress. I really want one, but would like to hear from anyone who has experienced it.

@g1mase2: i’ve never seen one in real life, I think they’re a cute idea though!

I didn’t have one, but I love the idea, and many of the designs are super cute!

I have a store bought tea-length dress but am planning to add a detachable train (with a big bow in the back) once the silhouette of the dress is improved after the initial alterations. I don’t know if this helps though!

@g1mase2: My mom had one made for her wedding. You rarely see them now. Since reception dresses are a thing, they want you to spend money on two dresses as opposed to one dress that becomes two. Most of the ones I found I really didn’t like anyways.
There’s a bee, though, who’s dress converted 3 times!! It was amazing! Ballgown, to knee length circle skirt with a petticoat to a pencil skirt. I wish I could find it.
