Keep it in the fridge - loosely covered with plastic wrap or foil tent. You can use skewers or toothpicks to keep the covering from directly touching the meringue :)
I would keep in the fridge and like PP mentioned with a toothpick tented saran wrap cover, if it starts to form condensation I'd change the saran too.
Since it's a meringue, it should go in the fridge. The egg whites need cold to stay fresh over multiple days. If it's a fruit pie, you would keep it on the counter (keeps the crust from going soggy).
My grandma was the queen of lemon meringue pies and she used to put them in the fridge :)

Friday night I plan on making 2 lemon meringue pies. One for a party on Saturday afternoon and one for Easter dinner on Sunday. Should I leave the pies on the countertop at room temperature (we keep the apartment at about 68*) or put them in the fridge?
Thank you in advance.
