I have 1 cat now since my other passed away and 1 fish! I am throwing around the idea of getting a dog as soon as we move XD I really like to have pets with names you never hear... My Grey cat that just passed a few months agos name was Jack the Ripper and my fat cats name is HannahBelle Lector, she likes to torture my betta fish Buddah. Anyone else have super cool names for your pets or any cool ideas for a dogs name to fit in with my other animals...?
Lol those are cute names. Our dog's name is Nixon and I think that's pretty unique!
I like going with a theme, as I see you have. Our theme is "flowers" (Lily and Petunia) though, not "serial killers" lol! How about "Sweeny Todd... The Demon Barker of (Your Street Name)?
lol. hannahbell lector.. i like that.
my dog's named "Kofi Annan".. i too am not one to name their pet "fluffy" or "checkers"
I've been told we pretty much take the cake here. FI is a vet so we just can't have a Fluffy, Bailey, or Maggie!
Cats.
Archimedes, Phineas T. Barnum (yes like the circus), Oona (pronounced Oh-nah)
Our dog is Hermes
Clearly we have a bit of a greek thing going on.
Our past pets have been Milton, Ginkgo, Sasafrass (frazzle), Minnowe, Winslow, Amaryllis,
If we get a cat in the near future I plan on naming it Ponze (like ponze scheme because clearly a cat is a total ponze scheme).
@MissNoodles: haha were obsessed with halloween, not so much murderers just scary stuff
@HappilyEverAfter54: what breed of dog are you thinking of?
I LOOOOVE all the names everybody! I'm glad I'm not the only one out there with different pet names!
I named mine Lola because "whatever Lola wants, Lola gets," and that's true. I also like to make her dance with me to Copacabana too "He name was Lola, she was a showgirl..." I dunno just makes me laugh.
Not sure how original
Orange Cat is Cayenne (he has a spciy personality)
White fluffy cat is Merlin (his white reminded us of the beard and I loved the show)
And frenchie is named Maui (it just sounded right)
@BackyardLoveBird: aww! I dance with my pet too.
My cat is super friendly... shes a lap cat,
Not sure if these names fit with yours, but I have...
Paddington, Broderick, Callaway, and Edison
I also had a puppy when I was younger named Peek-A-Boo
I love differnet names- My cats are Whiskey (i like it) & Comiskey (name of the old Chicago White Sox stadium) & Cagle
Dogs- I have 3 beagles - Remington (female) Cruze & Flash (boys) a lab- Mossy Oak (hunting brand) and a mutt named Chevy! LoL
Ok, well it's not scary, but it's Halloween related... 'Pumpkin"?
My pup's name is Lucky. She is a mixed breed rescue. The shelter where we got her rescued her litter from a kill shelter in Kentucky. So she's Lucky from Kentucky. Her litter was all named after Hawaiian islands, and her original name was Lahaina. So we kept the "L". She's my little princess and I love her to pieces.

My friend has a sphinx which she named Raisin and a reverse brindle boxer named Soda.
When our son was about 2.5 he named our rescue cat Merlin (totally beats mr. whiskers or fluffy!)
I always suggest different names for our pets but I get out voted.
My favourite was our cat named Dopple -- Dop for short-- he was white & black, and named after the Doppler Effect.
As soon as I started university I adopted my cat from a local shelter and named her Miu (pronounced mew) haha. I think it's pretty unusual (: I didn't know it when I named her, but she has a really tiny meow, so I guess her name suits her ;)
My dog's name is Newton, because he is a Pomeranian and Sir Issac Newton had pomeranians as pets :)
I thought it was pretty clever. lol.
we have a dog named Lady Wicklow, (just Wicklow) and a kitty named Loki (Little Orange KItty).
@kermie: Oonah's on our list of girls names .... if we ever have a girl!!
Eventually I know I'll get an all black cat with yellow eyes and name her Halloween. XD
We have dogs named:
"Bitey Fallen Angel" (Bitey for short): Her mom's name was Angel, Bitey is from the Simpson's episode where racoons are living on the monorail - plus she's mean to strangers and quite possibly a demon.
"Satchel Bag of Tricks" (Satchel for short): He's a craigslist re-homed puppy and named after the lead guitarist in Steel Panther, sadly he had cryptorchidism so not much of a "satchel" for him. :)
@HisIrishPrincess: aww my son wants a husky and he said were calling her Koala Ki(sounds like Key) he's so cute!
@camrie: I'm thee biggest Simpsons fan! I want a huge fish tank and to name all my fish Simpsons names!
Aw your pups are poofs! How cute!
Our Cats are named
Jalapneo (after he was named that we found him stealing some spicy cheese!)
µ (we usually write it as Mu, because vets and nametags cannot enter it on the computer for some reason) In my first physics class my professor was talking about µ, and I made a cartoon of a cat saying µ and showed it to my friend. The professor asked us what we were laughing about. We showed her, and she put the cartoon up on the board! She was a very cool professor and loved a good laugh. So since then I was determine to name a cat µ.
Our Horses aren't as cool named
Viva Laredo I (he came with that name) and we call him Pinky
LuckyAndSmart (Ex race horse that raced for like 5 years, Obviously he also came with this name)
I usually go with some sort of theme. A lot of times it happens to be something dealing with music. My furbaby's name is Maestro. My ex, who plays the organ and piano, named him. I had another dog named Joplin (as in Scott Joplin).
My most recent cat was Akiko (a Japanese name) after I came back from Japan. The list goes on. I am the family pet namer. :)
My cat is Peter (Peter Pan actually, but he just goes by Peter unless he's in serious trouble). My other one that just passed before Christmas was Smee, the sweetest cat in the whole world, I miss him terribly. Our little one is Glory Be Hallelujah, or just Glory, Glory Be, or Bee for short (don't ask me why it turns from Be to Bee but it does, LOL). Glory is a busy little monkey, so I always feel exasperated and like saying "Glory be hallelujah what on earth have you done?!?!?!?!" so it stuck, LOL!
We have two twin poodles... their names are "Isaac" & "Newton".
We're super dorks. :)
((plus, you'd be suprised by the number of people who don't get it... maybe we need a third dog and name him "sir"))
Our dogs name is Bronx, from the TV show Gargoyles. (his brothers named their dogs Jersey, Harlem, Brooklyn, also names from the TV show).
Our ginger boy's name is Dorian T. Catsby (in honor of Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby"). Little grey girl is Miss Moo, which just kind of stuck. We started calling her Munchkin at first because she's tiny, but it evolved over time.

DTC playing dead
