@lica1445:  I’m not sure about outside catering but I know that the Moorestown Community House and Velenzano Winery both have lots of choices for caterers to choose from.  Those both also allow many of the same caterers that the Boathouse does.  I believe the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ allows outside catering, but it might be a little far north for you.  You could try The Porch Club in Riverton, as well.

Is there any way you could get out of your catering contract?

We looked into a lot of places in South Jersey. I fell in love with Pratt Gardens in Woodstown and they allow outside catering, but unfortunately, they only allowed beer and wine.

I received the same phone call about the boathouse dredging project and I’m in the same situation, not sure if we can get out of the caterer contract or where to even being looking for another venue. were not sure if we should risk it or not! Have you looked at other venues?

Our wedding is Sept 6, 2014. Our caterer wont give us our full deposit back and theres no where else around the area thats in our price range that will hold that many people so it looks like we’ll prob just stay put, im hoping the project doest start on time and it wont interfere too much with the view that day. what a pain!
