When you go pick up your marriage license, you will get a copy that your officiant, you, your hubby to be, and your witnesses will sign at the ceremony. The officiant will need to send that in for you to be able to get a certified copy of the license. I suggest having the license, once signed by all parties, photocopied. Then you can present that to the resort. If they require a certified copy, you may be able to get the marriage license office to fax them a certified copy once it has been filed. Our license was ready for pickup after three business days. I do suggest that you contact the resort to see if they will accept the photocopy or if you will have to show them the certified copy. I don't think ours get mailed. I had to go directly to the office to pick up copies, so you might want to check on that too because you will need the certified copies for other things.

I am not sure where you are staying but we stayed at a Sandals and they asked for the same thing... Or "a copy of our invitation" so we just photocopied our invitation and faxed it to them and they didnt have any problems with that
Here where we live in TN all you get is a reciept from the clerks office when you go pay your fees... The officant was actually the one that had our certificate filed out and everything and we and our witnesses signed it at our wedding and I think.. maybe! that he mailed it and we got back a certified copy of it (lol i dont remember for sure though)

Hi everyone! This is my first post -- yay!
I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out:
I'm leaving for my honeymoon early the morning after my wedding. The resort we're staying at will give us a complimentary honeymoon package if we present a copy of our marriage certificate.
I'm wondering how we go about getting this. Do I just make a photocopy of my original marriage certificate? Or is this something I would need to officially order from the courts (which obviously I wouldn't have enough time to do)? Will I even get a marriage certificate the day of my wedding? From my understanding, that gets mailed to you several weeks after the wedding. If that's the case, what could I possibly get by the very next day that would qualify as a "copy of a marriage license"? I live in AZ BTW, in case that matters.
