Hi alissa! My future SIL got her dress at The White Dress in CDM, they have gorgeous dresses and top designers. I got mine at Mon Amie in Costa Mesa and it is by far the biggest store I've ever seen with both top designers and more affordable ones to boot! The girls are helpful and the selection is bar none! Good luck!!
there's also L'azeul or something like that... they are kind of spread out, and depending on your budget... they're all high end stores. Most of the stores have websites you can check out. For a good deal I would check out Wedding Time in Fountain Valley.
THanks so much! I made appointments at both The White Dress and Mon Aime! I also was referred to Marry Me Bridal by a friend, so I'll check that out!
alissa07 - I just wanted to warn you about Mon Amie... I have purchased 2 dresses there (one for a deb ball and one as a BM) and both times the ordered the dress for me WAY too big, personally I think it was there way of getting even more money out of me on the alterations. Both times I took the dress to someone else to be altered. Also a good friend of mine bought her wedding dress there ans was not happy with the alteration lady she worked with, I just thought I should share.
I bought my dress at Mon Amie, and their selection is great, the salespeople...eh. I worked with Selavi and she was fantastic! As well as manager Tawni, who I asked to be present at every fitting and appt. I did have some of the alterations done there (adding to the chest area) because they had matching lace, and while they were very expensive, they did a great job. That said, I htink the dress stores always charge much more for alterations. You can do well at Mon Amie, and they do have the most dresses and great sample sales. The only "dress row" I know of is in downtown Santa Ana where the dress stores compete, mostly for quinceneras, but I've heard that they will custom make ANYTHING and their prices are great. I also liked Ferndales, they were nice there. Mary Me Bridal i did NOT like, but that was because of my saleslady. She was pushy, kind of mean, and only let me try on three dresses then said my appointment was over. Really? Waste of time. Then she left because another customer was going to buy a dress and she never came back. I've heard a lot of other complaints about them as well for similar reasons. good luck!
Bridal Row in CDM is on PCH, just south of MacArthur. There are many boutique shops there. I bought my gown at Saks Fifth Avenue's bridal salon at South Coast.
Since it was a sample, Saks wouldn't do alterations in house, but referred me to Felicity Couture in CDM (one of the shops on the Row). She is very professional and does beautiful work. Also does custom bridal gowns, but is not the right place if you're looking for a huge selection with many different designers.
i got my dress from Mon Amie...i worked with Virginia who was AMAZING, she has a ton of experience so she was really great! my initial impression was not good though, when i called b/c i was lost the girl on the phone gave me much attitude and i was already declaring how much i hated it before we walked in..once i met virginia everything else fell to the wayside, she was extremely professional and very truthful and honest which was nice b/c there's a lot of potential for upsell...
i had my verify last week and i worked with sonya (i think) and she was amazing...i was with my friends from ecuador so we had the spanish flowing and it was a good time...
i just had my first fitting on wednesday and the alterations are definitely way expensive but since i'm leaving the country on tuesday and have finals and moving to deal with before then i didn't really have time to find another place to get them done at so i just went with them...hopefully they do a wonderful job and hopefully i don't lose or gain any weight while i'm in singapore!
my salon wasn't on bridal row - but if you're checking out marry me in orange you might as well swing by La Soie in Tustin Market Place - beautiful salon, very helpful, great follow up by my girl Linda (handwritten christmas and bday cards!) they have a great selection of dresses in varied price ranges... i just felt like marry me was old, kinda stuffy (like the dresses had been there awhile), and not that great of a selction (too much of the same dresses).
good luck - 2 of my friends found their dresses at the white dress!
there's also Erin Cole in Costa Mesa off 17th Street - kinda boutique-y

Hi Everyone! My aunt told me about the "bridal row" in Corona Del Mar on PCH, and said that it's a great place to go shop for wedding dresses. I've done some google searches, and have only found a couple stores. Does anyone know of what she's talking about? What stores on are PCH? We're trying to go down this weekend so I wanted to try to make some appointments! Thanks!!
