    Hi Bees,

    So I talked to a couple of florists the other day, and got the run down on some numbers for our wedding's floral needs. When I actually got down to the nitty gritty of who needed what, here is how the numbers broke down:

    * Bride

    * 2 BM, 1 MOH

    * Groom

    * 2 GM, 1 BM

    * 2 Fathers

    * 2 Mothers

    * 3 Grandfathers (one of my grandmothers divorced and both she and my grandfather got remarried, and both of my FI's grandfathers are deceased)

    * 5 Grandmothers (FI's 2 grandmothers and my 3, see above explanation)

    * 2 Altar Arrangements

    * Cake Flowers

    * 5 Centerpieces + 1 bud vase (using my bouquet and the 3 girls' as centerpieces too)

    ... so here is my dilemma. This seems like A LOT of flowers (in cost and in blooms). In addition, it seems like having almost half of our wedding guest total (20 people out of 42) with flowers of some sort... seems sort of ridiculous.

    What do you ladies think about paring it down to this:

    * Bride

    * 2 BM, 1 MOH

    * Groom

    * 2 GM, 1 BM

    * 2 Mothers

    * 2 Fathers

    * 1 or 2 Altar Arrangements (otherwise it'll be sort of bare other than the actual religious components)

    * A few cake flowers

    * 5 Centerpieces (+ still using my bouquet and the 2 BM/MOH's as centerpieces)

    ... basically we could omit the grandmothers' corsages and grandfathers (eliminates total of 8 people's flowers).

    What are your thoughts? I know that corsages can sort of be a pain anyways, but I thought that mothers should at least have SOMETHING (along with dads, so they feel special too).

    Thanks!!!!!!

    Bella

    I think what you have narrowed it down to is just fine!

    What if the groomsmen/all men used a colored napkin thingy in their pocket instead of a traditional boutineir? (I spelled that wrong)

    I think what you've narrowed it down to is fine! You could also pass each the grandmothers each one flower on your way back down the aisle if you felt like it was necessary. I also like the idea of the pocket squares.
