Does the corset lace have to be the same color as the main dress? I have an embroidered dress and was wondering if I dyed the corset cord/lace a lilac color, which is one of the embroidery colors, would it look weird? I actually like the idea…
Sorry I don’t have a picture of the back! And it’s put away in the deep recesses of the darkest closet….

I think if your dress were all white, it might look odd; however, because the embroidery brings in some other colors, I think the colored lace for the corset with look great!

I think that colored laces would look really nice. I have thought about doing a different color for mine too and my dress is all white.

I think a colored corset lace would look really great with your dress, it would put it all together

It all depends on whether you like the idea of having it stand out a bit or whether you want the corset ties to simply blend in with the dress. To have them as an accent, the lavender would be the best color for sure

I think that would be fun! Are you thinking of DIYing it?

@AlwaysSunny: Of course DIY in the bathtub. I don’t like my white bathtub either, so hopefully it goes lilac! LOL

I wouldn’t color it, unless you want it to be a design feature. Most corsets match the body of the dress and not the trim colors, so they don’t stand out. I’d keep it white.
