To me, it sounds like a good price!

I think the cost you are stating is awesome for what you are getting, but you have seen it and know better than me.

Coming from someone who from Chicago where places can charge even $9k to rent the space and only the space for just one evening, I’d say it’s a good deal.  But I have a skewed perspective.

We’re paying $1500 for ours too! But we don’t get it nearly as long – ours is the price for 3 hours setup and 5 hours reception (we can go over as long as they make at least $300 in the bar tab an hour…). I say it’s a deal! BUT…do they offer onsite catering or have a kitchen or bar? Those can complicate pricing!

I’d look around just in case. And, yes, the wedding industry sure does seem like they squeeze every penny out of you that they can!!

The site fee for the vineyard we wanted to rent in Long Island… after hours 6pm-1am for 1 night was 12k and that included nothing… no tables chairs etc.  we would have done it but the fact of the matter is now you have to bring in a completely full service caterer or rent everything from silver, to china, to linens all the different glasses etc.  it just got way out of hand for us…

That is an awesome price even for a not-so-large city.  To get 48 hours plus chairs is really good.  I don’t think I have seen anywhere that will let you rent more than 1 day for that price.  I am not paying anything for my reception venue because we chose a restaurant that has a beautiful, unique 2nd floor so we only have to pay for the food.  But my ceremony venue is $1200 and that includes 4 hours, chairs and chair covers.  But our ceremony is only going to last about 20 minutes or so, maybe less so we are really paying around $60 per minute (that’s awful) but it is my dream location.  Your venue looks beautiful, too, so I say go for it!

I think that’s worth your money but I live in an area I think where it costs more..my venue is $1800 to rent it.

$1500 is a great deal, although I don’t know anything about the area you’re in. And it’s sooo beautiful, so that’s an added plus.

It depends on your budget (says one grad student to another) – I have been thinking about the same things…..check out the budget board section on this website – look at what some other couples have spent on their wedding and see how much of that went to the reception/venue fees.  We have not yet settled on a place, but are trying to keep the venue site fees to less than 2k and want that to include all tables and chairs…  Good luck to you!

That seems like a great price for one day let alone two. And having the tables and chairs too, have you priced rentals? They add up quickly, by the day!

And it’s pretty!

Oh my gosh, I just noticed there’s a kitchen too! Wow, you scored!
