    Our budget is 12,000 AUD dollars. But that is 150 guests, at 20.00 per person, cocktail style, lots of DIY, and that price is including our honeymoon and FHs ring.

    (sorry for the long post, but you asked for it all)

    Total budgeted cost: $28K (based on amount able to save per month multiplied by number of months in engagement)

    Note: Having a “wedding weekend” – Catholic ceremony & reception on Friday; outdoor ceremony & reception Sunday.  Wedding is local for couple & about 20% of guests; it’s “destination” for 80% of guests.  Wedding is in LA = expensive.

    No. of guests: approx. 60 (68 invited)

    Save-The-Date Cards: DIY; approx. $1.43 each x 30

    Invites: DIY; approx. $4 each x30

    Bridal Party gifts: approx $150 for Maid/Matron of Honor, $150 total for FI’s Bridesmaid or Best Man, officiant (childhood friend) & reader (other childhood friend), $50 for Flower Girl & reader (nephew)

    Fri ceremony: approx. $1000 (church, musician, decor)

    Fri reception: approx. $2500 (3-4 apps per guest + 2 hours open bar) – it’s just a “champagne & cake” reception in late afternoon (4-6pm)

    Fri attire: gown = $200; suit = $0 (already owned); personal flowers = $150 (leis)

    Sun ceremony & reception: approx. $20K (@ Disneyland hotel)

    • $100/guest F&B + tax & gratuity
    • $8K for personal flowers, decor, & entertainment extras
    • $500 for AV set up (iPod reception & ceremony)
    • $3K for favors (tix to Disneyland for each guest)
    • $1K for photographer (no hire for Fri – will be friendors)

    Sun attire: gown = $800 + $200 for alterations; shoes = $100; groom = $0-100 (already owns aloha shirt, slacks, & shoes, but may need to buy another shirt, if doesn’t match gown); flowers = included with reception venue decor price

    Parents are paying for RDs (one for each rehearsal); each set is paying for one.  Cost of honeymoon (if we have one) has been kindly offered by FI’s parents.

    HTH! I’m pretty proud to say that we’re really close to our budget – about $200 over…which I think we can pinch some pennies & save up, so as not to cut anything out.   Also pretty proud that we could have a wedding for aroun $5K, in LA, if we just stuck with the Friday shebang…but Fiance & I both wanted an outdoor wedding, so we stretched it & chose to really put all the stops for our Disney dream wedding (FI’s idea!) that is actually happening. Four months to go!

    Edit: didn’t include rings…haven’t decided if we’re having them or not. since they’re “a symbol of your love & commitment,” we’re discussing if we want a different symbol. Also didn’t include wedding day accessories – already bought: wearing engagement pendant & matching earrings (FI didn’t buy a ring b/c he listened to me when I said I don’t want a ring, but wanted me to wear something that showed we’re engaged anyway)

    Our wedding is currently at £11K. But that includes honeymoon, rings and everything. However we’re hoping that our end budget will end up less than that – we’ve paid for the airfare and hotels for the Honeymoon already but we have a Honeymoon registry so we may get some of that back as gifts 😉

    This is our budget so far…some prices (like 80 guests is guessed bc if we have 100 or 90 of course it’l be more) and some items haven’t been bought yet like the flowers so I made an average.  Other stuff like invitations, save the dates and photography I know for sure. I hope this helps!

    The whole weekend should come in around $20k (from rehearsal to day-after brunch, including getting to and from wedding city which is 3 states over from where we live) then the honeymoon should be another $10k.

    We’re pushing 45k, not including the honeymoon, rehearsal dinner or our post-wedding brunch…BRUTAL!

    We’re working with a loose 10K budget, but some stuff will end up getting paid out of pocket by us, instead of hitting the budget. NOT because 10K is unrealistic, just because keeping everything in neat little rows was going to kill me with stress and was making me cry on a daily basis.

    Including rings, jewelry/shoes, and every little thing I’m going to forget until last minute, we’re at about $18K.  And we were trying to do things cheap.

    Our hopeful budget is $25,000, however Future Mother-In-Law likes to add things that she thinks are necessary and say, “oh, well I want it so I’ll pay for it.” – which means in the end, I have no idea. She hasn’t caught on to the fact that I really want to DIY a lot… I think she’s under the impression it’ll look cheap. I really appreciate her being willing to help out, but it’s hard to know what to count on and what to go ahead and do ourselves. 

    Unfortunately, in our area, a weekend June wedding for the number of people that are “must invites” for my parents and the Future In-Laws is impossible to do for under $20,000, and even that would be bare minimum budgeting unless you snagged a great deal.

    Ours is about $10k:

    $3k for reception tent and table/linen rentals

    $200 for dishes

    $550 for photographer

    $300 for videographer

    $500 for DJ

    $1200 for food

    $1100 flowers

    $225 for cake (cupcakes actually)

    $700 for dress

    $100 for alterations

    $600 for decorations (including guest book, my accessories, favors, all that)

    $300 for church

    $300 for alcohol

    $1000 for honeymoon

    Oh, and this is for about 200 people.

    We are right about at our budget, if you don’t knclude the $1100 in deposits we lost from our original reception hall that filed bankruptcy and our original photographer that went MIA.

    A lot of our stuff is booked, and these are our real prices. We managed to save a lot by “knowing” people and getting dealsSmile
