    I was quoted $450 by David’s Bridal

I ended up going to a local shop and paid $200. On top of that she had it completed and steamed within one weeks time.

I have not been officially quoted on alterations, but the shop did tell me its $45/hour. Because my dress is lace it will take more time. Of course they cannot give me an estimate on time…even for known things like hemming the dress. BOO.

i oaid $620, i freaked out when i found out the cost. but it was too late to go anywhere else and i am going back to try it on in a week, so hopefully it will be all worth it.  and adding on the “please don’t remind me” to the poll is exactly how i feel!!

My dress fit pretty perfectly from the store, it just needed a bustle and the hem to be taken up an inch in front, so I did these myself. I’ve just been being careful not to loose weight because I know that it would be expensive to have the dress taken in!
