I am wondering how much it cost for your candy buffet? I am having about 150 guests, and I want to to do a cream and gold color theme. How much candy did you order? Thank you

Hey there.  It can easily get expensive if you let it.  My mom and I shopped all the sales after the holidays.  So go get it now while you can.  Christmas candy should be on sell now.  Also check the dollar stores because they sell a lot of candy.  The amount depends on your containers.  I found that some of my containers took -12 bags and some only 4 bags.  I had different sizes and shapes.  You can cheat by putting something hidden inside the containers to help fill them up more.  It was a hit at our wedding.  I had about 10 different kinds of candy and had so much to take home.  We had 230 guests.  We found containers at discount stores.

Sorry I can't give you an exact cost because it depends on the candy you buy and the size containers you fill.

@vintage2010:Thank you! My containers are going to be the shape of a martini glass. I have researched some websites, most sell 5lb bags. I was probably going to get 8-10 different kinds. I am just unsure how much is enough, I am afraid I will not have enough. Thank you again

I spent about $100 on candy for 120 guests, but I had tons of leftover candy! I got it all on clearance from Target after big candy holidays! PICS
