My e-ring was $88. Well, almost $100 if I include sizing. My band was $0, because I had my mom’s old one resized. Actually I got a bit of money back from the extra gold left over; it had to be taken from a size 10.5 to a 4!

I plan to switch my e-ring to my right hand because it doesn’t go with a band, and I like the look of a simple narrow band on its own.

@futuremrste:  Mine will be about the same because my e-ring was only $539 and I don’t want a plain wedding band. The few w-bands I can find that I like are around $400. The only case in which the w-band would be cheaper would be if I cannot find what I really want and end up going with a plain miligrain band. I think I could get one for $300 or less.

*I do not want stones in my w-band…

My ering was close to 1,000 but that is because it is a moissy and not a diamond. My band was on sale for 109 so in total it was 193.

If its too expinsive then its too expeinsive. Honestly its a material object and spending that much money should be more of a responceble choice and not one made off of vanity. The jewlers just told you that so that you would spend more money and get a costly band. There are more places to get bands then you realize and they don’t have to be costly. Its just a ring after all. The engagement one is the important one.

My band was only $120.00 and its real blue and white diamonds.

My e ring was about 6k, my band was $399. The band that “went” with my ering was $1200. I thought DH seriously spent too much on my ring, so I found a ring at Helzberg that matched my ering perfectly.

Honestly I’m not sure how much my ering cost – I never asked :-/, but my band was only $300 and something so it was a low percentage (I’m assuming) of what my ering was. I wanted a really thin, dainty band so it wasn’t pricey.

Ering was $2500 and wedding ring was $360 – so about 14-15% of the cost of my ering. I’m not sure how the % would compare, but I think the total cost is potentially less than the average on here, so may not be a good representation

@futuremrste:  My E-ring was $ 9 500 and my wedding band was $3 100 (So about 33% of the price). My FI was stubborn about getting the matching diamond channel set band from the same store -.-

    E-ring was 4-5,000, w-band was $800, so under 20%

I haven’t decided on my wedding band yet. It will be somewhere between $275-$1200 depending on the ring I pick. I can’t justify the more expensive ones though, I think I’ll end up with one under $500.

    My e-ring was between $4,000 and $4,500.

The price of the band I picked out is about 50% what FI paid for my e-ring.

Band is about 5% of the cost of the ering…for me it was all about the diamond and that’s where all the money was spent, I used white gold and that was cheaper than platinum, which I originally thought I wanted. I’d say keep searching…you’ll find one in your price range!
