While I know the cost of flowers varies hugely depending on what flowers you pick, whether those flowers are in season, etc., I would love to know what other people are paying for the basics (I got an estimate and it seems like a lot for just a few little things). Note: My wedding is in May and I told the florist I am very flexible with the types of flowers and am fine with using only in-season flowers.
Here is what I was told:
Bridal Bouquet: $180
Mother’s Flowers (pin ons or wristlet): $35 per mother
Boutoneirres: $17 each
centerpieces start at $35 for a low centerpiece (but really anything decent is $55) and starting at $100 for a tall centerpiece.
So, is this normal? Expensive? Cheap? I am in the Northeast if that matters…

Hrmm, depends on what city you are in. Mine was a very well respected florist in Chicago and my prices were approximately:
Bridal Bouquet – $140
Bridesmaids – $80
Mom’s wristlet – $30
Boutenniers – Under $10
Centerpieces – $60ish for low and high
I’m basing these off my memory, but its pretty close!

I think the centrepiece prices sound fairly reasonable but I expect you could find a bouquet and corsages/bouts for cheaper from a good quality florist. I had a medium-sized floral budget and here’s how it’s all breaking down:
$150 for my bridal bouquet (the one splurge item in my floral budget): cymbidium orchids, roses, and lisianthus
$50 each for my BM bouquets: roses, lisianthus, and dahlias
$10 each for boutonnieres: roses (one orchid bout for groom, the GM’s are using roses.)
We’re skipping corsages altogether since the mothers don’t want any.
$45 each for low centrepieces: dahlias and roses. The $45 price includes rental of vases.
$250 each for two large altar arrangements set on pillars. Price includes rental of pillars and vases.
1 tall gift table arrangement for $35. Have no idea what flowers will be used for this one and really don’t care!
That’s not to say you need to find a new florist – try negotiating or give her your budget for each item and see if she can work within that.

that sounds pretty reasonable except for your bouts which i think should be about 10 bucks. my medium sized ceterpieces are 85-100 and my bouquet is about 180.
